Sealing in the savings

Often times when homeowners want to cut energy costs they turn to new light bulbs, more efficient appliances or sealing up old windows. While these solutions make a difference, in most cases the real problem lies deep within the home in the duct system.

50 percent of the average home and commercial building’s energy bill is spent on heating, air conditioning and ventilation, yet duct leakage in residential homes costs consumers $25 billion each year and even more for commercial building owners and operators -money that is literally disappearing into thin air.

Duct leakage is a serious national problem affecting newer and older homes alike, but the development of new and improved duct-sealing technologies, such as Aeroseal, are changing the face of the industry.
