The New Domain Name in Construction: .Build

This March, Associated General Contractors of America (AGCA) announced plans to release a new domain specific to the construction industry: .Build. Touted as a new top-level domain name, .Build has been available to the public for pre-registration since late April. For $99 per year, building industry websites can convert to .Build. The release comes at a time of increasing web competition, and the .Build team is banking on the fact that construction business owners will jump at a new opportunity to stand out from the crowd. The massive number of companies already registered with a .com domain has made the creation of original site names more challenging. With .Build, owners can use a clever, easy-to-remember website name previously snatched up by the competition. George Minardos, CEO of the .Build group, has shared that many businesses have already pre-registered with .Build. “I’ve spent my whole career in the construction business, so I wanted to make sure that the industry was well represented as the Internet expands and as technology plays an increasingly crucial role in the building industry,” Minardos explained. “In lieu of a .com name that has no meaning, a .Build name clearly states who you are, what you do and improves your ability to be found on the Internet by companies and individuals looking for your products and services” Minardos added. Apart from the clear label, other benefits of a .Build include increased SEO and new email options. Though the .Build platform is still in development stages, it has soon plans to launch features that are more comprehensive. Hosting and email forwarding will be coupled with associated elements that enable construction industry groups and suppliers to sell .Build domains, as well. Benefits of .Build ARI Registry Services, a leading provider of Domain Name Registry and Infrastructure Services, has partnered with the .Build team in its delivery of the web platform. Jeremy Ebbels, General Manager Registry Services Division at ARI Registry Services, has a clear vision for what .Build will bring to the construction industry. “.Build will be more than just another generic Top Level Domain,” Ebbels shared in a press release. “It will be an online community dedicated to serving the global building and construction industry through enhanced search, website design, a clear identity, relevant information and virtual markets.” .Build will also offer higher security features than other websites. The application process ensures security, as applicants must demonstrate that their new gTLDs employ the most current web security protocols available.

Testimonials

It was an absolute pleasure to work with the writers and editorial team at TrueLine Publishing for our recent article in US Builders Review. From the start of the project, it was apparent that everyone involved was very concerned with accuracy and getting the facts right. They were also very conscientious about soliciting our feedback and ensuring that we were happy with the content and with the manner in which Giroux Glass was described in the finalized piece.

What a great team US Builders has put in place! Having worked with Victor Martins a few years back, I was pleasantly surprised that he remembered our experience and contacted us again about an updated article. Not only did Victor brainstorm with me about content that would resonate with readers, but he assigned an excellent writer, Molly Shaw, to our account. Her interview with my client, Bardi Heating Cooling & Plumbing, was professional and succinct; as was her writing style. We had very few edits and were pleased not only with the article, but how well it was enhanced by color photos. Much appreciated!
— Karen Bird, Owner of Strategic Marketing Services, Bardi Heating Cooling & Plumbing

Kyle Gahm was instrumental in coordinating this project from beginning to end. He was always available and a pleasure to work with. It would be a pleasure to work with Kyle down the road. Bill Keaton was very impressive in raising money from advertising which resulted in ASE getting the cover story, so thank you Bill. Lia Prysunka and Jeanee Dudley are both very impressive individuals who deserve a lot of credit for this featured piece. They were both very patient and accepting of any changes we suggested. The format, quality, and resolution was awesome. To sum it all up: Our upper management, who never have been high on PR and things of this nature said that it was "absolutely fantastic" and were blown away. They now are requesting multiple copies of the full magazine and are very proud of the work you all put in. Thanks again.
— Ryan Sanzari, Director of Operations, Alfred Sanzari Enterprises
Working with Kyle at TrueLine Publishing was a great experience. We are quite pleased with how the article about Souder Brothers turned out. The magazine article and photo spread is going to be a very effective tool to use in our marketing. If you have the opportunity to be featured in a project like this, I would recommend doing it. Kyle and his team made the whole process very smooth and we are happy to have been a part of the latest edition of US Builders Review.
