What has been the topic of many TrueLine lunch table conversations finally manifested yesterday as Ryan Fecteau, Editorial Director for US Builders Review, won the race for Maine Legislature in State House District 11.
Ryan’s win not only positions him as the youngest State Representative in the state of Maine, but also as the youngest openly gay representative in the entire United States. As a first-time legislative candidate, Ryan has been dedicated throughout his campaign to making a name for himself by knocking on the door of every registered Democrat in his district and shaking hands with most of the independents… all while working full time. His perseverance paid off as he dominated the polls, beating his opponent by 34.4 percentage points.
Ryan in action…
As much as we are going to miss Ryan while he’s working remotely from Augusta in order to fulfill his official duties as Maine State Representative, we couldn’t be any happier or more proud of his accomplishments. Congratulations, Ryan!
