For the past 27 years, All-Tech Inc. has established itself as a leading wood framing contractor specializing in residential and commercial construction throughout New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Headquartered in Monroe, New Jersey, All-Tech has maintained its success by focusing on teamwork as an absolute necessity to get the job done on time and within budget.
With a management team that possesses more than 100 years of experience in the construction industry, All-Tech has pioneered innovations and advances in framing services, including guidelines for project management and standard operating procedures recognized and certified by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). “Our scope of work typically includes everything from the construction of floors, walls, roofs, sheathings, soffits and fascias to the installation of doors, windows and stairs,” says Jalsa Urubshurow, founder of All-Tech. “We are able to customize our scope to respond to the various needs of our clients.”
Urubshurow founded All-Tech in 1989 after accumulating years of experience working with his father, uncle and brothers, who were all carpenters. “I began in this industry by working for my uncle when I was still a child,” recalls Urubshurow. “I would work on the weekends and through the summer. I started from the bottom, picking up nails and strengthening them.”
After leaving college during his junior year, Urubshurow started All-Tech with eight employees during one of the worst recessions the U.S. housing market had witnessed. Through determination and a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, All-Tech grew exponentially from 1989 to 1993 and eventually became the largest framing contractor in the U.S. according to the NAHB.
All-Tech’s process begins with its supply department, which consists of in-house drafting and architectural professionals with extensive carpentry experience. With its precut frame packages, which are its most efficient application, All-Tech integrates its supply department and labor force to provide on-site panelization, milled lumber packages and the most innovative combination of labor and materials in the industry.
Global ventures
Originally from Mongolia, Urubshurow has extended his entrepreneurship overseas and is a co-founder of the North America – Mongolia Business Council. He has spent a significant amount of time as chairman with an interest in Mongolia’s democratization and economic reforms to establish a free market.
In 1990, when Mongolia became a democracy, Urubshurow was invited by the country’s first democratic prime minister to encourage tourism among westerners in the country. In 1992, Urubshurow founded Nomadic Expeditions, which provides travel opportunities as well as cultural enrichment and a firsthand view of traditional Mongolian living. Nomadic Expeditions also expands its reach to Tibet, Russia, Bhutan and China.
As president and CEO of Nomadic Expeditions, Urubshurow is also the founder of the company’s Three Camel Lodge, which is an eco-lodge located in the middle of the Gobi Desert that provides a luxurious and authentic experience to travelers and implements a number of environmentally friendly development protocols. “I designed and built it with my own architect,” says Urubshurow. “Nomadic Expeditions is creating opportunities for All-Tech to do some projects globally.” The Three Camel Lodge has been recognized internationally by such publications as National Geographic Adventure magazine, which ranked it among the world’s top 50 eco-lodges.
For his efforts in sustainability, Urubshurow was featured in the Roger Moenks book, “I Am Eco Warrior: Portraits from the Front Lines of the Sustainability Revolution.” This collection of conversations includes interviews with Jane Goodall, Michael Bloomberg and Richard Branson.
A company for communication and efficiency
Pedro Loureiro, president of All-Tech, has been with the company since he was 18 years old. “He grew up with us and has done a marvelous job with All-Tech,” says Urubshurow. “He has been able to bring the company to a point where we beat every single production schedule in the past year. Recent examples of the company’s efficiency include a project in New York where the company was able to trim two months off a 12-month schedule as well as an additional job where All-Tech was able to trim three months off a six-month schedule. “It’s all about project management,” says Loureiro. “We start preparing for a job two to three months ahead, so when the time comes to start the job, we have all the information we need to hit the ground running from day one.”
Urubshurow and Loureiro have created a work environment that generates strong employee retention. “All of our project managers have been with the company for more than 15 years,” says Loureiro. “They are extremely knowledgeable and experienced and work within our system very well.” All-Tech also relies on its solid network of subcontractors to contribute to the success and efficiency of each job. “We pay them weekly and they are loyal to us. Many of them have been working with us for more than 15 years.”
For nearly three decades, All-Tech has set the bar for efficiency and quality. The company continues to integrate new technology into field applications generating strong communication among superintendents, subcontractors and owners. With the opportunity for future global ventures, All-Tech Inc. will remain a leader in the industry.
