Industrial Maintenance & Contract Services LP (IMC) in Munster, Ind., was established by Bill Laszlo, general partner, approximately 25 years ago as a general contractor specializing in maintenance, repair and capital improvements. IMC performs work primarily in the Midwest and is focused on projects in Indiana. Its core group of management and supervisors has at least 20 years of experience each serving heavy industry. IMC has approximately 100 employees representing several trades, including boilermakers, bricklayers, carpenters and millwrights, cement masons, ironworkers, painters, pipefitters, laborers and operating engineers. IMC management has the ability to adjust the level of its skilled workforce to meet project needs.

The company has grown steadily over the past 25 years. Approximately 80 percent of the company’s work is industrial maintenance and approximately 20 percent is capital projects. Clients include mechanical maintenance managers of major mills, plants and factories.

Quality work and long-term relationships

IMC has built a reputation for quality in performance, leading to recurring contracts with its largest client. While every project must be completed on time, on budget and in a safe manner, IMC is known for its expertise in performing plant outages. Because a plant outage has a limited amount of time for completion due stopping production, performing work within schedule is critical to resuming production.

Industry association participation

IMC maintains an industry presence through participation in trade organizations. IMC is a member of the Indiana Association of Plumbing Heating Cooling Contractors (PHCC). The knowledge of the IMC team is enhanced by the continuing education provided by PHCC in green technology and industry developments. Also, IMC is a member of the Indiana Millwright Contractors Association (IMCA). Through IMCA, member companies are able to benefit from business development efforts coordinated by the association.
