Founded in 1964 by Charles H. Hamilton Sr., CHH Co. is located in Maineville, Ohio, and remains a well-respected site development firm that has served Cincinnati and southwest Ohio for more than five decades.

As a site development firm, CHH Co. provides developers and builders with a schedule outlining the timing of each phase of construction. The foundation of CHH Co. as a family-owned, family-operated business is a success story that the company extends toward its clients. Hamilton began working for his father as a child. “I’ve been here since the inception of the company,” he recalls. “As a kid, I worked as a laborer and eventually worked my way up to general superintendent, to vice president, president and then owner.”

A history of quality

A project that Hamilton considers a personal favorite is a site development job that CHH Co. completed for property owners, Randy and Todd Terry, called Carriage Hill: offering an experience with nature that is genuine and breathtaking with all the casual comfort and understated elegance of an upscale community in Liberty Township, Butler County, Ohio. The company completed all the site work, including grading, curb and pavement work in preparation for the Terry brothers to sell quality lots. “The owners were very meticulous in achieving the quality that Carriage Hill has become known for,” says Hamilton. “That is what we did for them.”

In December 2014, CHH Co. overcame the challenge of a late groundbreaking schedule to complete a large complex upscale development called Rivercrest for M/I Homes, in Warren County, Ohio. Other challenges included cutting a road from an existing 200-foot embankment extending from the main highway to where the streets of the development began.

CHH Co. received recognition for a notable project that took place in 1994 for Tom Humes, owner of Great Traditions at the Wetherington Golf & Country Club in West Chester, Ohio. The development was recognized by Builder Magazine as Community of the Year for its 1994 National Awards Competition.

The team that CHH Co. has assembled over the years is Hamilton’s favorite aspect of his job. “I’m so proud of our people and their contributions to this company’s accomplishments,” he says. “We keep our facility looking very nice as well. We take pride in keeping our equipment clean, updated and maintained. Anyone who comes into our facility is impressed with the way it looks.”

With a positive outlook on the economy, Hamilton is looking forward to millennials entering the homebuyer market. As long as new developments continue to be constructed in residential, commercial and industrial markets, Charles H.
