Founded in 2013 by Tim Morrison, Wallmasters Modular Inc. (WMI) is a national general contractor that specializes in the permanent modular industry. Driven by customer service and a desire to satisfy every client, WMI has created a new modular building process, as well as set a new standard for performance in the modular construction market.
Industry innovators
WMI set itself apart in the construction industry from the very beginning by finding a niche that had yet to be occupied by any other contractor in the United States.
“We are the only national full turnkey modular-specific general contractor for the permanent commercial modular industry,” Morrison says proudly. “I developed this turnkey concept for commercial modular buildings in 2004, but it was ahead of its time.”
Morrison reports, however, that the industry wasn’t ready for it. “But the construction market has since caught up, and now we’re successful pioneers in the industry,” he details.
The company’s services begin with design, and follow through the project all the way to full building completion – anything from landscaping to parking lot construction. WMI starts by promoting a partnership atmosphere between the client and manufacturing team, and helps the architectural and civil design come to fruition while following its clients structural and financial interests.
“We focus on team building and working with our clients to help bring their projects in on time and on budget,” explains Morrison.
The manufacturing process of modular buildings allows for high-quality buildings created on a quicker timeline. WMI has the ability to match pre-existing structures, as well as converting conventional construction plans to modular.
WMI’s diverse staff includes architects, mechanical, plumbing and electrical experts, as well as project managers and manufacturing specialists. WMI has facilities and employs people in four states with the ability to travel and build projects all over North America.
The company is headquartered in Kentucky, and has operation centers in Florida, Ohio and Indiana, as well. The rise in business since its founding has WMI growing and expanding services. Furthermore, the company will increase its manufacturing strategic partner base significantly in the coming year to meet the increasing demand for its turnkey modular services.
Project success
WMI focuses largely on the medical, hospitality and education construction sectors. “We build everything from student housing and hotels, to assisted-living homes and specialty medical facilities,” says Morrison.
The company effectively uses a swift manufacturing timeline to help get businesses up and running faster than traditional construction companies are capable of performing. This has brought in a vast variety of customers who appreciate the perfect balance of speed, quality and customer service.
In the education sector, WMI constructs anything from student housing to educational buildings. The company is able to accelerate project timelines, provide more economical pricing with less disruption; an ideal solution for an active campus.
In 2014, WMI completed three major student housing projects housing over 250 students. These projects were full turnkey; WMI completing all of the site work, as well as mechanical, electric and plumbing services.
Client-focused
As the company’s reputation continues to spread, WMI’s focus on customer service has become one of the driving forces behind the company’s success. “We’re driven by client satisfaction and the desire to build strong relationships with our clients,” says Morrison. “Our goal is to get the job done, and done right.”
By focusing on developing customer satisfaction-based projects, WMI has seen major successes in the modular construction industry. The company can expect the coming years will bring in return business, as well as new customers seeking out the team’s growing reputation.
Looking ahead, Morrison expects WMI to maintain massive growth as the economy continues to bounce back through the next few years. For Morrison, coming to work every day is not so much a challenge but a constant pleasure. “I love what I do,” he says happily. “I love that we create good, solid buildings in a fraction of the time of other forms of construction.”
WMI’s dedication to its customer base reflects the strong client-focus WMI maintains. With such a business model, as more clients turn to modular buildings for efficient and economical structures, Wallmasters Modular Inc. will continue to be the number one choice for commercial modular construction.
